DESIGN APPROVAL COMMITTEE (DAC)
The Mitchells Run Design Guidelines form part of the purchase agreement for all lots in Mitchells Run. Any building or structure (including fences) in Mitchell's Run must comply with these guidelines and be approved by the Mitchell's Run Design Approval Committee (DAC).

THE MITCHELLS RUN DESIGN GUIDELINES
Mitchell's Run is envisaged as a community which is designed to form part of Laurimar Township as well as the broader natural environment. The location of roads, lots and parks responds to the natural landform, existing trees and view-lines on the site. This approach will preserve the natural character of the surrounding environment and therefore add value to properties within the development.

It is important that the design of houses and gardens is integrated with, and compliments, the natural characteristics of the area. To facilitate this vision, a set of siting and design guidelines have been prepared to ensure that houses and gardens are built to a high standard of design and presentation.

The purpose of the guidelines is to:
• guide development by establishing minimum standards;
• provide examples of how houses and gardens might be designed to add to the neighbourhood character;
• encourage environmental sustainability; and
• create a sense of community.

The guidelines are not intended to restrict or prohibit the ideas of individual home-owners, but rather inform and guide development so that these ideas may be expressed through innovative and quality design. The guidelines will ensure that properties in Mitchell's Run will grow in value for many years to come.
