MITCHELLS RUN, AUGUST 2010 UPDATE

STAGE 11

Construction of Mitchells Run Stage 11 is nearing completion; however, wet weather is continuing to hamper progress. Asphalting of road surfaces was completed in early August with the key outstanding items being the completion of concrete footpaths/driveways, stone retaining walls and topsoiling of lots. These works are all scheduled for the second half of August, but are dependent on fine weather during this period.

Once construction is complete, it is expected that the various authorities will authorise the release of the subdivision in early September. Registration of the plan of subdivision is anticipated by mid September, which should allow settlements by late September/early October.

Please note that the above timeframes are estimates only and are dependent on weather conditions and the processing timeframes of the various authorities involved in releasing the subdivision. No material presented herein is intended to form part of an Agreement and no warranty is given or implied as to its accuracy.

STAGE 12

Construction of Stage 12 is also continuing with bulk filling and sewer works largely complete. Drainage works are currently underway, but this work is being hampered by recent rainfall. At present, title release for Stage 12 is expected during the first quarter of 2011.

STAGE 14

Stage 14A was released to market during July and several lots have already been snapped up by eager purchasers. Stage 14A offers lots up to 724 sq.m. and overlooks the adjoining wetland and conservation corridor, which is currently under construction and should be complete in early 2011. Stage 14 is programmed to commence construction during the last quarter of 2010 and should be complete by March/April 2011.

If you are interested in purchasing a lot in Stage 14, you can download a flyer from the link below or contact Lauders Real Estate on 9433 2100.

$25,000 DONATION TO DOREEN CFA

Mitchells Run recently donated $25,000 to the Doreen Brigade of the Country Fire Authority (CFA).

Last summer witnessed some of the most horrific bushfires in Australia's history. The generosity of Australians to donate some $375 Million to the Red Cross Victorian Bushfire Appeal during this time of unprecedented economic uncertainty was both inspiring and humbling.

Shortly after Black Saturday, the Directors of Mitchells Run met to discuss what our contribution could be. While donating to the Red Cross Appeal was considered, we felt that as part of a community with such proximity to the Kinglake area, it would be a more fitting to make a local donation. Therefore, we decided to direct our donation to the Doreen CFA.

Head of the Brigade, Captain Mark Roberts, noted "....by receiving these kinds of donations it means that we volunteer fire fighters don't have to then spend extra time running sausage sizzles, chook raffles etc...a donation like this represents 50 sausage sizzles and instead when can spend that time training and better protecting the community."

There is an incredible amount of work ahead for everyone involved with emergency services to ensure that they are appropriately prepared for the upcoming fire season. Mitchells Run commends all those who dedicate their time, whether employed or volunteers, to this effort. We hope that our donation will assist the CFA with their invaluable efforts to protect the residents of Doreen.

The Whittlesea Post recently ran an article about Mitchells Run's donation to the Doreen CFA. Click on the link below to download a copy of this article.

MITCHELLS RUN BONE MARROW CHARITY HOUSE

Mitchells Run is a proud supporter of the Bone Marrow Donor Institute (BMDI). Lot 233 in Stage 5 of the estate was allocated to BMDI for the construction of a charity house, with all proceeds benefiting cancer patients and their families. In total, the project raised approximately $170,000 for the BMDI, with Mitchells Run proudly contributing $30,000 in cash.

The BMDI house is located on the corner of Overland Drive & Painted Hills Road, Doreen (Melway Ref 391: E7)

The BMDI's major achievements include:
